THE JACKSON POLLOCK
Emily and Davide are The Jackson Pollock, an explosive drums-and-guitar duo from Bologna. In anera of plastic music, they hit hard with breathtaking live shows fueled by raw, sincere energy—noposes, no déjà vu, just pure, fresh, powerful music.
With her drums up front, Emily sings fairy-pop melodies, screams, and beats her kit like an entireorchestra possessed by rhythm: every song a new tribal dance.
Davide floods the air with noise andriffs, a distorted spiral of homemade fuzz and overdrive. Bound by an invisible red thread and a secretlanguage of sound, they tear through stories of love and hate, past and future, and everything inbetween, while a contagious, positive energy rises all around.
One day they threw their gear into a van and took off on a never-ending trip across Europe. After a runof short releases, “Today Forever” (Rookie Records) landed as their first full-length manifesto: avortex that blurs dreams and insubordination, punk attitude and dance hits, grind violence and Latinrhythms, riding chaos like a dragon. It’s an escape from reality into a parallel universe – made real ifyou play like there’s no tomorrow.
